The story reveals Professor Xavier's plan to establish Krakoa as a sovereign mutant nation-state, introducing concepts like mutant resurrection protocols, the Quiet Council governing body, and pharmaceutical diplomacy. Paired with its companion series Powers of X, this limited series explored multiple timelines while establishing mutant immortality through the Five.
