Description
DC's Absolute Universe turns the Emerald Archer into the engine of a slasher. Across this six-issue limited series, writer Pornsak Pichetshote and artist Rafael Albuquerque strip Oliver Queen of his trick arrows, his fortune, and his moral code, leaving only a hunter. Someone is murdering the city's most corrupt billionaires, and the single calling card is a green arrow left in each body. Executive protection specialist Dinah Lance, this reality's Black Canary, is pulled into the case and forced to work a list of suspects drawn from the deadliest archers alive, each one tied to the recently killed Oliver Queen. Pitched as a horror mystery in the vein of a teen-slasher thriller, the book trades superheroics for dread and asks who Green Arrow becomes when the only thing left is the kill. Pichetshote and Albuquerque, both Eisner winners, build the Absolute take on Green Arrow as urban horror rather than adventure.
