Biography
Yukinobu Hoshino is a Japanese manga artist, born January 29, 1954, in Kushiro, Hokkaido, known for hard science fiction in the gekiga tradition. He made his professional debut in 1975, winning the Tezuka Prize with his debut entry. He is best known for 2001 Nights, a series of interconnected science fiction stories. His earlier work Saber Tiger was translated for American audiences by Viz. His work has been recognized internationally, with pieces exhibited at the British Museum.
