Biography
Japanese manga artist from Okinawa, born in 1960. He is best known for sports manga, including the sumo series Ucchare Goshogawara, which won the 1989 Shogakukan Manga Award in the shonen category and received an OVA adaptation in 1991. He also drew The Golden Rough, a golf manga that ran from 1999 to 2011 across 33 volumes. He assisted Akio Chiba before launching his own manga career.
