Who Was Joey Z?
Description
The Watcher opens the issue by declaring that the fates of Peter Parker and Jill Stacy are intertwined. On the street, Jill's quiet investigation into Joey Z's background has attracted dangerous attention: the Kingpin sends Ox to shut her down. Spider-Man follows Jill's trail and intercepts Ox in time to pull her clear. What the trail turns up is a web of connections: Joey Z had ties to the Thing, Silvermane, Sebastian Shaw, and the Hellfire Club, suggesting his death was a deliberate piece in a much larger scheme rather than a random killing. Written by Howard Mackie, art by John Romita Jr.
