Bob Harras
Biography
Bob Harras is an American comics editor and writer born in New Jersey. He began his career at Marvel Comics in the early 1980s as an assistant editor under Ralph Macchio, working on titles including Dazzler, ROM, and Micronauts.
Harras rose through Marvel's editorial ranks to become group editor of the X-Men and Midnight Sons lines. As a writer, he produced a run on The Avengers from 1992 to 1995 and the 1988 limited series Nick Fury vs. S.H.I.E.L.D. He served as Marvel's editor-in-chief from 1995 to 2000, a period that coincided with the company's near-bankruptcy.
After leaving Marvel, Harras joined WildStorm as a contributing editor in 2001 and later moved to DC Comics as group editor of collected editions. In September 2010, DC named him editor-in-chief and Vice President, a position he held until 2020. He subsequently joined Immortal Studios as editor-at-large.
