Description
Charles Soule and Will Sliney open a new chapter of their Shrouded College saga with this five-issue Image Comics horror thriller. At its center is Violetta, a grieving woman whose great love was taken by the secret society known as the Shrouded College. Driven by revenge, she travels to Irkutsk, the coldest city in Siberia, hunting an ancient being with dominion over death itself: the Cold Witch. Claiming that frozen power turns Violetta into a one-woman war against the College and the kill squad it sends to stop her, though the witch's gifts never come without a terrible price. Pitched as icy, blood-soaked payback in the vein of a supernatural action movie, the book expands the same hidden-world premise Soule and Sliney built in Hell to Pay and The Bloody Dozen while standing on its own. Rachelle Rosenberg colors and Crank! letters the run, which closes with a finale that reshapes its heroine and sets up the next tale in the cycle.
