Mohiro Kitoh
Biography
Japanese manga artist best known for two psychologically intense series: Narutaru (Shadow Star, 1998–2003), which subverts the monster-companion genre with dark themes, and Bokurano (2003–2009), in which children must pilot a giant mecha at a terrible personal cost. Both were serialized in Monthly Sunday Gene-X and adapted into anime series. His work is noted for its deceptively simple art style and unflinching narrative choices.
