Countdown (2007)

Countdown (later retitled Countdown to Final Crisis) is a 51-issue weekly series published by DC Comics from May 2007 to May 2008, written by Paul Dini. Numbered in reverse from #51 to #0, the series follows multiple intersecting storylines: Jimmy Olsen developing mysterious superpowers, Mary Marvel being corrupted by Eclipso and Black Adam's power, dissent growing among the Monitors' ranks, and Darkseid manipulating events from behind the scenes. Other threads follow Holly Robinson and Harleen Quinzel infiltrating an Amazonian shelter, the Atom (Ray Palmer) lost in the Multiverse, and the Trickster and Pied Piper on the run after the death of the Flash.
