Description

A 1996 DC Comics crossover event in which the Sun-Eater consumed Earth's sun, plunging the planet into freezing darkness. The storyline united DC's heroes in a desperate struggle for survival and culminated in Hal Jordan's redemption as he sacrificed himself to reignite the sun.
