Goofy
Description
Goofy is a Disney cartoon character who first appeared in the 1932 animated short Mickey's Revue. Originally named Dippy Dawg, the character was renamed Goofy by 1934 and became a core member of the Disney cast alongside Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.
In comics, Goofy has appeared continuously since the 1930s in newspaper strips and comic books published across the world. He is often paired with Mickey Mouse as a loyal but bumbling companion, and has also starred in his own solo stories. In many European Disney comics, he takes on the alter ego Super Goof after eating super-powered peanuts.
Goofy is defined by his easygoing nature, clumsiness, and distinctive laugh. Despite his apparent lack of awareness, he often stumbles into solving problems through sheer luck and good intentions.
