Kazuki Takahashi
Biography
Kazuki Takahashi (1961–2022) was a Japanese manga artist best known for creating Yu-Gi-Oh!, which began serialization in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1996. The series sold more than 40 million copies and inspired a global trading card game holding the Guinness World Record for best-selling trading card game in history. Takahashi died in July 2022 while helping rescue swimmers caught in a rip current off the coast of Okinawa.
