Jamie Delano is a British comic book writer known for his extensive contributions to the medium over a span of 25 years. He is particularly recognized for being the inaugural writer of the HELLBLAZER series, which features the character John Constantine. Delano was selected by Alan Moore to take over the writing of Constantine, who was initially a minor character in Moore's influential SWAMP THING series. Delano's writing style is influenced by the British 'new wave' literary movement, which has made him a significant figure in Vertigo's lineup of creators.
