Gary Groth
Biography
Gary Groth (born 1954) is an American publisher, editor, and critic who co-founded Fantagraphics Books in 1976. As editor-in-chief of The Comics Journal, he championed literary and alternative comics and conducted career-defining interviews with major artists. He also founded the Harvey Awards. In 2014 he received the Genius Award in Literature from The Stranger.
