The Gathering of Five, Part Three: Web of Despair

Madame Web, confined to her life-support apparatus, receives a vision of Norman Osborn inviting her to take part in the Gathering of Five ritual, promising restored youth and immortality in exchange for a missing piece of the artifact. A psychic projection of her face appears before Spider-Man, asking him to bring her the fragment. With the piece secured, Madame Web hands it to Osborn, but the moment she does, a new premonition strikes her: Osborn unleashing a genetic weapon capable of killing millions, Spider-Man among the dead, the world brought to its knees. The ritual's third stage is complete, and Madame Web is left to wonder whether she has just helped bring about the catastrophe she most feared. Written by Howard Mackie, art by Norman Felchle.
