Description
Written and drawn by Tatsuki Fujimoto and serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump beginning in 2018, Chainsaw Man follows Denji, a teenager crushed by debt inherited from his father and forced to work as a low-level devil hunter. After merging with his devil companion Pochita, a small chainsaw devil, Denji gains the ability to sprout chainsaws from his body, transforming into the hybrid known as Chainsaw Man. Recruited into a government division tasked with eliminating dangerous devils, he pursues modest personal ambitions while navigating brutal assignments alongside fellow hunters with complicated histories of their own. Fujimoto's series is recognized for its unpredictable tonal shifts, visceral action sequences, and a subversive approach to shonen genre conventions. Part One concluded in 2020 after 97 chapters; Part Two launched in 2022 in Shonen Jump+.
