Captain Terry Thunder

Captain Terry Thunder is a Fiction House character who debuted in Jungle Comics #1 in January 1940. He commands the Congo Lancers, a company of soldiers stationed at a jungle fort and charged with suppressing the slave trade in central Africa.

Thunder and his unit ranged across the continent over the course of 33 issues, taking on threats ranging from slave rings and tomb raiders to Nazis and voodoo witch doctors. The strip was introduced by artist Arthur Peddy.
