Biography
Shinichi Sakamoto is a Japanese manga artist who debuted in 1990 and began serialization in the mid-1990s before achieving wider recognition with seinen series. He is best known for The Climber, a mountain-climbing drama serialized in Weekly Young Jump starting in 2007, and Innocent, a historical manga set among French executioners during the Revolution. Both works received Excellence Awards at the Japan Media Arts Festival.
