Japanese manga artist born in 1967 in Shizuoka, Japan. He began his career in the early 1980s as one of a small number of male artists working in shojo manga, before moving to shōnen and seinen work later in his career. His notable works include B.B. Fish, Hotman, and 19 NINETEEN.
