Vol. 1: The Awakening Storm

In the first City of Dragons book, Grace moves to Hong Kong with her mother and new stepfather and works to find her place at a fancy boarding school. During a school field trip, a mysterious old woman gives her a dragon egg, and the old tales of dragons Grace heard as a young girl start to feel real when the egg hatches overnight.

The hatchling holds powers Grace does not yet understand, and sinister forces want to seize it for their own ends. Grace and her new school friends set out to protect the dragon and uncover the plot that threatens the city.
