Joe Jusko
Biography
Joe Jusko is an American artist known for detailed painted covers and fantasy illustration. Born in New York City in 1959, he sold his first cover to Heavy Metal at 18 after briefly assisting Howard Chaykin. He spent years as one of the main painters on Savage Sword of Conan and produced widely celebrated work for Marvel. His 1992 Marvel Masterpieces trading cards are credited with launching the painted trading card boom, earning him the Comic Buyer's Guide Favorite Painter award twice.
