The 56-page issue runs multiple threads in parallel: at Ravencroft, a session between the Jackal and Dr. Ashley Kafka is cut short by John Jameson's security team; Judas Traveller approaches Mary Jane seeking to understand her relationship with Spider-Man, only for the Scarlet Spider to ambush him; and Kaine intercepts Detective Jacob Raven with a grim demonstration, delivering a non-lethal version of his Mark of Kaine burned into Raven's face as evidence that the wrong man is behind bars.
