Description
Dawn: Three Tiers is a six-issue limited series written and illustrated by Joseph Michael Linsner, published by Image Comics from 2003 to 2005. The story picks up where Lucifer's Halo left off, following Darrian Ashoka as he sails toward Europa, the land of his ancestors, in search of purpose and identity. Before his departure, Dawn, the goddess of birth and rebirth, gave him a cryptic prophecy about the journey ahead. As Darrian travels across the ocean, his path winds through unexpected encounters that gradually fulfill Dawn's predictions, while his longing for the goddess colors everything he sees. Linsner blends mythological romance with a character-driven road story, carried by his signature painted artwork featuring sinuous, richly detailed figures set against bold, high-contrast environments. The Dawn mythology, which Linsner began developing in the early 1990s through independent publications, unfolds here as a meditation on desire, fate, and spiritual searching. Three Tiers occupies a self-contained chapter within that larger saga, accessible to new readers while rewarding those familiar with the broader story.
