Jay and Silent Bob, Kevin Smith's slacker duo from the View Askewniverse, find themselves pulled into the Marvel Universe in a one-shot crossover decades in the making. When Doctor Doom targets the pair for destruction, the responsibility of keeping them alive falls to a coalition of Marvel's most prominent teams. The Fantastic Four, the Avengers, and the X-Men must work together to prevent the decree from being carried out.

Smith conceived the crossover while filming Mallrats in 1995, the same year the film made the first cinematic reference to Wolverine. Artist Giuseppe Camuncoli illustrates the 40-page story, written by Smith.
