The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl (2015)

Doreen Green is a computer science student at Empire State University, but she is better known as Squirrel Girl, a superhero with the proportional strength and agility of a squirrel, a large bushy tail, and the ability to communicate with squirrels. She shares a dorm room with her best friend Nancy Whitehead, who gradually becomes aware of the double life Doreen leads.

The series follows Doreen as she faces villains both mighty and obscure, often resolving conflicts through conversation and empathy rather than force alone. Written by Ryan North with art by Erica Henderson, the run spans 50 issues and takes Doreen across time, into space, and through several Marvel crossover events while maintaining a comedic tone and a consistent emphasis on kindness and creative problem-solving.
