"Black Jack" Yakusoku

Rupepe, a benevolent thief who steals to help refugees, is near death from a bullet lodged in his aorta. Black Jack operates but cannot finish without adequate equipment, and promises to complete the surgery later. A year later he finds Rupepe on death row in Paris.
