Published from 1999 to 2000, 'No Man's Land' is a major crossover event in the Batman series by DC Comics. The storyline was primarily written by Bob Gale, Devin Grayson, Greg Rucka, and others, with art by Alex Maleev, Dale Eaglesham, and others. It spanned multiple series including 'Batman', 'Detective Comics', 'Batman: Shadow of the Bat', and 'Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight', among others, totaling over 80 issues. The arc follows the aftermath of a massive earthquake that devastates Gotham City, leading the U.S. government to declare it a 'No Man's Land' and abandon it. Batman, along with his allies such as Oracle, Nightwing, and Robin, must reclaim the city from chaos and the control of various villains, including the Joker, Two-Face, and the Penguin. The story is significant for introducing the character Cassandra Cain, who becomes the new Batgirl.
