Description
Paper Girls is a science fiction adventure series written by Brian K. Vaughan with art by Cliff Chiang, published by Image Comics from 2015 to 2019. Set in the early hours of November 1, 1988, four twelve-year-old newspaper delivery girls in a Cleveland suburb find themselves caught between two warring factions of time travelers after discovering strange technology on their route. Erin, Mac, Tiffany, and KJ must navigate a conflict spanning centuries, encountering future versions of themselves and witnessing events that challenge everything they thought they knew about their own lives. The series balances coming-of-age drama with hard science fiction concepts, wrapping both in period-specific visual nostalgia. Chiang's crisp linework and colorist Matt Wilson's distinctive palette give the book a sharp, timeless look. Paper Girls ran for thirty issues across six collected volumes, earning Eisner Award nominations throughout its run.
