About This Event
San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) is an annual multi-genre pop culture convention held each July at the San Diego Convention Center. Founded in 1970 as a small gathering of comic book fans, it has grown into one of the largest entertainment conventions in the world, drawing hundreds of thousands of attendees each year.
The event spans four days and includes panels with creators, filmmakers, and cast members from major film and television projects; world premiere trailers and announcements; a sprawling exhibit hall featuring publishers, studios, and independent creators; artist signings; cosplay competitions; and preview night for badge holders. Special Guests receive recognition for their contributions to comics and popular arts.
San Diego Comic-Con is organized by San Diego Comic Convention, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting awareness of comics and related popular art forms.
